Is it any wonder if we are busy defending our ideas and focusing on what we want to say that communication is hard. How can idea be generated if we never allow it to be discussed and challenged? How can we expect meetings to be successful if all we do is focus on one-way discussions? How can expect a business to grow if are to busy shouting over each other? The answer can be as simple as place your idea on the table as a thing. Allow others to pick it up, look at from another angle, challenge you on it, and even disagree with it. Listen to what the others are saying even if it challenges what you believe. You just might be surprised to what it brings.
